PRESS INTERN

The Communications Store is delighted to accept applications for a Spring 2017 press intern at our office in New York, NY to begin in January. As an intern at TCS you will gain a breadth of experience with luxury fashion and lifestyle clients, spend time with the senior members of the team, and gain real insight into the workings of a global company.

The Ideal Candidate is someone who:

– Shows a passion for the world of luxury Fashion and Lifestyle brands
– Is self-motivated, creative thinker
– Has excellent organization and communication skills
– Is clever, considered and possibly a little counter cultural
– Is a team player who is hardworking and dedicated
– Requires college credit

Lifestyle, Beauty and Showroom Internship Opportunities

We are currently looking for talented interns to work with each of our Lifestyle, Sample & Showroom or Beauty teams which will be a paid internship with excellent opportunities for learning and development.

As an intern at TCS you will gain a breadth of experience with luxury fashion, beauty and lifestyle clients, spend time with the senior members of the team, and gain real insight into the workings of an integrated communications company.

Senior Account Manager/Account Director  – Interiors and Luxury Lifestyle PR

Our established Lifestyle team are looking for an exceptional, experienced and motivated Senior Account Manager/Account Director to join the team working on a varied client portfolio across luxury retail, lifestyle, interiors and a selection of our longstanding luxury lifestyle clients.

Role description:
 Develop PR objectives and strategies that satisfy the client’s brief, balancing strategic thinking, creativity and budget
– Manage and improve existing client relationships ensuring clients’ expectations and needs are met and exceeded whilst always thinking two steps ahead and devising appropriate solutions
– Keep abreast of developments in the marketing/communications industry to ensure thorough, relevant client counsel is delivered
– Actively participate in the pitching and winning of new business. Develop existing business through organic growth and additional joined services
– Maintain a network of contacts across broad media and proactively meet senior media/journalists
– Contributing creative ideas that enhance our client delivery as well as our internal TCS experience
– Motivate and leadership of your teams, including providing guidance on planning of client programmes and identifying training needs
– Take responsibility for delivering client programmes to budget and account for all aspects of client billing, closely monitoring billing and budget reconciliations
– As TCS brand ambassador maintaining the company values
– Promoting our culture and ethos, including the nurturing and development of the teams
– Inspire commitment and creativity – encouraging team members to effectively achieve outstanding results

Skills and Experience:
 Currently operating at Senior Account Manager/Account Director level
– Must have strong experience in either luxury home/interiors brands, retail or lifestyle, with an interest or experience in restaurants, property and travel
– Wide range of extensive contacts in luxury lifestyle sector (UK focus in particular)
– Experience managing and motivating team members
– Passionate about creativity and ideas generation and inspires colleagues
– Proven ability to devise and provide brand strategy
– Must thrive in a fast paced and dynamic working environment
– Confident and upbeat persona both with colleagues and clients
